Hello! Welcome to Trailhead Cane Corso. My name is Katherine Tantillo, and I am the original
founder of Trailhead Cane Corso. I would like to share my love, experiences and how I came to own
such an awesome breed of dog! I will never forget the first time I saw a Cane Corso.... I was working on
an archaeology project in South Carolina when I saw the most beautiful, graceful, and powerful dog I
had ever seen. I was driving an old 80's Bronco down a dirt road through backwoods when I spotted
what I thought at first to be a boar. The sun was pelting the windshield so I could not see clearly. Then
I realized as I drove closer it was not a boar, but a dog! A beautiful dog. He was sitting by his owners
side with a hunting vest on. He was staring to his master with confidence and admiration. I wanted to
know about this breed.I studied the breed thoroughly by attending rare breed dog shows and visiting
various breeders.  I finally brought my first Corso home and could not have been happier. The Cane
Corso is a beautiful, loving, and loyal dog and will always be a part of my life. I firmly believe in
spending time with the dogs I own. I also enjoy seeing and boarding the puppies I have bred when
their parents go on vacation. Hiking  trails is one of our favorite pass times which is where the name
Trailhead comes from. My son,Mason, who just turned 6 years old also enjoys playing and helping with
our dogs. My loving husband, Chris,  also enjoys and loves our furry children. In addition to our
Corso's, we also have rescued a blind Saint Bernard named Amos, a Rottie named Indie and a husky
named Opie.
Hello, I'm Heather and after knowing Katherine for several years and seeing her with her
dogs I  have fallen in love with this breed. When I met Katherine she had just rescued Tillo
from a horrible experience with a terrible owner. Tillo was a quiet, well-mannered puppy even
after everything she had been through. I was ready to take her home that day, however, Tillo
and Katherine have a bond that will never be broken. Soon after, Kat  introduced me to Orso
and I had to have him! I've never known dogs to be so loyal and attentive... they are ready to
please!
Orso has been a loving and protective member of my family, as well as a constant source of
entertainment. He has protected me from a 6 foot alligator at Hunting Island and also enjoys
a good dance partner wherever he can find one! He enjoys hiking, camping and swimming  as
well as cuddling with whatever friend he can find.

In addition to the Corsos I have a 5 year old mixed breed named Shiloh who gives everyone a
run for their money!

Shiloh, Orso, Hazel and Harriette, have recently made the move to Tennessee with me where
we will have lots of room for fun and training! I am so excited to be a part of the Trailhead
adventure!
