| Our puppies will be placed in homes based on temperament and the buyer's needs. Some puppies are more energetic than others and this will be taken into consideration when placing puppies. We refuse to place puppies based on color. We acknowledge our right to refuse selling a puppy to anyone we feel can not give our puppy the home it needs and deserves. Our puppies come with a two year genetic health guarantee on hips. We do not cover cherry eye, ectropian, entropian, demodectic mange, or any other health issue unrelated to genetics. If a problem should arise, we will need documentation from your vet and our vet. We strive to select healthy dogs for our breeding program with temperament at the top of our list. If you bring your puppy home and are not satisfied, arrangements will be made to have the puppy sent back to us. Shipment of the puppy will be paid for by the buyer. Trailhead puppies are NOT to be sold, given away or used for illegal purposes. Our litters vary in price depending on the sire and dam being bred. A 400.00 non refundable deposit is expected in order to hold a puppy after an application has been approved. The rest of the payment is due when the puppies are born. There are no time limits on reserving a puppy. If the breeding does not take, or the litter does not produce the expected number of puppies we will transfer your deposit to another litter. We hold puppies in the order they are paid for. We will only take a select number of deposits and then will form a waiting list. We do not take deposits on every litter. Pet quality puppies will need to be altered by eight months with signed documentation from your vet which you will mail to us within thirty days. If the puppy is not altered in this time frame the contract is void and 1000.00 will be paid to either Katherine Tantillo or Heather Pope. All puppies must have a signed contract with Trailhead Cane Corso. Breed/Show quality puppies will not be bred until at least eighteen months of age. Trailhead Cane Corso must approve all breed quality homes. We choose not to sell breed quality puppies out of every litter. As responsible breeders we feel it is important and our job to make sure our breed quality buyers have the best interest of the breed at heart. There is nothing wrong in our opinion in selling a breed quality dog as a pet. However, we occasionally will change a pet quality contract to a breed quality contract at eight months with our approval. Hips will be checked and need to have passing scores via OFA or Penn hip prior to breeding. Documentation of this check will need to be mailed to Trailhead. If this is not done the contract is void. Breed/Show puppies will carry Trailhead's name on all documentation. (ex; Trailhead's ). Should a health issue arise where the puppy can not be bred then we will replace your puppy with another puppy from the litter of your choice. The buyer will pay expenses to return the first puppy back to Trailhead Cane Corso. We also offer ear cropping by our vet. Our vet costs around 350.00 which is to be paid by the buyer before the ears are done. We do not cover any complications associated with cropping your puppy's ears. We offer shipping in the United States at buyer's expense. Flights normally cost around 280.00 and a medium crate is around 50.00. Health Certificates are also required and cost 50.00. Puppies will not be shipped until they are at least ten weeks of age. We do not cover any complications associated with air travel. Puppies will be shipped or picked up on Friday through Sunday only. If you can not pick up your puppy the weekend they are ready to come home a twenty dollar a day fee will be charged. Also, if we have not received full payment on your puppy by the time they are seven weeks old we reserve the right to place them in another home. Should we place the puppy in another home your deposit will transfer to the next available litter. Should a dispute arise court costs will be paid by the buyer and court meetings set in either Augusta, GA or Nashville, TN. Our contract is more detailed and we encourage you to ask us for a copy before putting down a deposit..Upon receiving your deposit it will be understood that you have fully read our policy and agree with our terms.
